AeroIndianews.com: What is Avalon Aviation Academy all about and when was it launched?
Preeti Malik: Our academy is an aviation initiative of Aptech and was launched in April last year. We offer a structured curriculum, the world’s finest faculty and the advantage of strategic industry tie-ups.

What kind of courses do you offer and how is the fees structure?
Preeti Malik: We offer a variety courses such as cabin crew training for Air Hostesses and Flight Stewards. We also offer Ground Staff Services and courses on Fares & Ticketing and Personality Development. So our fee structure varies from Rs. 30,000 to 2 lakhs, depending upon the course.
AeroIndianews.com: How many centres have you opened in India so far?
Preeti Malik: So far we have opened 14 centres in India in cities like Lucknow, Allahabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Nasik and Cochin. We are also planning to launch our academy’s international centres some time in the next year.

What according to you is the Unique Selling Point (USP) of your academy?
Preeti Malik: The Unique Selling Point (USP) of our Academy lies in the fact that it is totally academic oriented. We provide our students with high quality content and infrastructure and with trainers who have years of experience in the aviation industry.
AeroIndianews.com: What is the placement procedure of your academy?
Preeti Malik: We offer 100% placement assistance. Our first batch recently passed out and 80% of the students have already got placed in various international and domestic airlines. The rest are also appearing for the interviews.
AeroIndianews.com: What advice would you like to give to those who are planning to enter the aviation industry?
Preeti Malik: Due to the boom in the aviation sector, this is the right time to join. But these are not just glamour jobs and a lot of hard work goes into it. So if you intend to become an air hostess or a flight steward, be prepared for responsibilities and challenges.
