Airport and Airline Expo 2007 gets going |

India’s only Airport and Airline Expo 2007, Civil Aviation Week is going to be held in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan from 26th to 28th March. In light of the development of Indian Civil Aviation Sector, the exhibition will feature advanced equipments and services for airports and airlines that would highlight the progress being made in the Indian civil aviation sector and bring forth the numerous opportunities for further growth of the industry. This fast paced development has given space to opportunities for airlines and organizations involved in airport management and infrastructure, passenger and cargo handling and many related services. The three day Expo will exhibit both government and private players. Government officials from Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India to Director Generals of Civil Aviation, Aeronautical Quality Assurance and Quality Assurance. Key decision makers from Global Corporates would be from Senior Management personnel from Airlines and Airports, Senior Security officials, Equipment manufacturers and suppliers to Investors, Consultants and travel agents. The International conference focusing on the theme “Civil Aviation in India – Opportunities & Challenges” will be a platform for industry leaders, international experts, government officials and investors to discuss the powering growth of the sector. The first day of conference, 26th March will begin with the Guest of Honour, MP Shri Rajiv Shukla, continued by the introduction and presentation of APAI awards by its President Mr. Sudhakar Reddy. The inaugural Session “Modernisation of Indian Airports: A US$ 50 billion opportunity”, will include prominent personnel, the speakers would be the Managing Directors of the Airports Authorities of Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Cochin. Session I: “Regulatory Policy-Present & Future” would be headed by Shri Ajay Prasad, former Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation. Among the speakers will be Shri V.P. Agrawal, Member Planning, Airports Authority of India and Mr. Marc Lammens from Flames Consulting. Session II: “Aviation Security Solutions” will be headed by Shri S.R. Mehra, IPS, Commissioner of Security, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. Session III: “Logistics & Cargo Opportunities”, the Chairperson and Speaker as Mr. Christoph Remund, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding. The second day, 27th March conference will begin with the speech of Dr. Vijay Mallya, Group Chairman of Kingfisher Airlines followed by other speakers. Session IV: “Commercial Aviation in India” will be presided over by Shri A.K. Chopra, Deputy Director General of DGCA. Session V: “Air Passengers: Facilitating the paying Customer” will be headed by the Lead Speaker Shri P.Seth Member (Operations) of Airports Authority of India and among others would be Ms Nisha Maharaj, Country Manager of American Airlines (India). Session VI: “Aviation technologies & Solutions” will be headed by Dr. Kota Harinarayanan of NAL, Speakers from HCL technologies and Corporate Advisor from Nicco Corporation Limited. On 28th March, the last. Session VII: “Aviation Training” will be headed by Air Marshall (retd) Denzil Keeler director of IST and the Lead Speaker would be Capt.
