At Aero India, Saab is show-casing among others the Integrated Defensive Aids Suite (IDAS).
The IDAS is the most integrated self protection system in production today. It combines radar, laser and missile approach warning together with various counter measure options. It is a suite for fighters, helicopters and transport aircraft.
Its main objective is to enhance the operational capability of military platforms through integration of state-of-the-art mission systems and will therefore exhibit a range of other military systems inclusive of the following:
- Gyros
- Digital recorders that includes Health and Usage Monitoring (HUMS) and DIRECT
- RIGS Head-Up Display
- BOL
